The art in rooms

One of the things I enjoy most, when I travel, is to visit old buildings from a time, where art was not only a painting on the wall.. the art was the entire wall itself. Here is some examples of that.. hope you will enjoy :)

Capture sunlight

Nothing more beautiful, than sunshine on a snowy-day. Reminding us, that spring is just around the corner, and that even more sunny weather is on it's way..

Fall food: Pumpkin soup

This is the most easy pumpkin soup ever.. and also one of the most delicious tasting soups :)

What you need is:

1/2 pumpkin ( you can use butternutsquash or hokaido pumpkins)

3 small potatoes

2 spring onions

chili

Step 1:
Peel and chop the potatoes
Peel the pumpkin and chop it in to dices.

Put it all in casserole and add water, untill the vegestables are covered in water. (but don't add more water than that).

Add the spring onions, salt and some chili.

Step 2:
Let it boil untill the vegestables have cooked out.

You can then either mash the mixture or blend it.. it depends on how you want your soup. I just mash it with a fork for a more rustic soup :)

Happy sunday :)

Life in Vietnam - Hanoi

Never before have I been to Asia. And the first place I got to visit was Vietnam.

We went to Hanoi, which is a beautiful and vibrant city. Containing business life, thousands of scooters and temples side by side.

This is some of the pictures I took.. more to come :)

How to make : whoopies

Now. WHO wants to taste these.. I sure do.. so here's how to make them.

Start by making the cream.
The cream contains:
175 g of white chocolate
3.5 dl cream

Boil the cream and add the chocolate. Stir until the chocolate melts. Let the mixture cool Down.
After cooling whip the cream-mix until it is solid enough to stay inside the cake.

Then you make the cakes.
The dough contains:
130 g butter
100 g dark chocolate
200 g sugar
3 eggs
2 tsp vanilla sugar
250 g wheat flour
40 g of cocoa
½ tsp baking powder
¼ tsp bicarbonate of soda

Chop the chocolate and melt it with butter over low heat.
Beat eggs, sugar and vanilla sugar until fluffy and then add flour, cocoa, baking soda and baking powder into mixture.
Finally you mix the egg-sugar mix with the melted chocolate and butter.

Let the dough to cool down.

Shape the dough into small balls. It is important that the balls are roughly the same size. There is doughs for approx. 26 cakes.

Bake at 200 degrees for approx. 7 minutes.

When the cakes are cold, you put cream on half of the cakes.

You then place another cake on top of those with cream making a "sandwich".

..And there you go.. you made whoopies :)
