A sunny day

Today is a lovely sunny day, which makes me look even more forward to summer, and all the wonderfull things that comes with a warm and sunny day.

Now I will go out and enjoy the weather, and I hope, you will do the same :)

Burger time

I think, most people love a good burger. The pictures here is from Cafe Sommersko in Copenhagen, but it is super easy, to make burgers yourself.

So here you have an easy recipe on burger buns, so that you can make your own burgers.

Burger buns:

25 grams of yeast
1 tea spoon salt
3 dl water
1 table spoon oil
500 grams of flour
1 egg

Dissolve the yeast and salt in the water.
Add oil and some of the flour.
Knead the dough and slowly add more of the flour, until the dough is solid.

Let the dough rise in a warm place for 45 minutes.

Hereafter you divide the dough into 6 pieces and make small buns. They should be 1 cm. thick.
Leave to rise another 30 minutes on a baking sheet.

Bake them in an oven, that is 180 º C.

Love

Sometimes love can pop out of nowhere. Sometimes it has always been there.

When walking in the garden I stumbled upon a rose leaf, that had fallen to the ground. It had the shape of a heart and was a pretty sight lying there on the stones.

A very rainy day

Today it has rained a lot. But actually I like rainy days. It is a good opportunity to get on your rubber-boots and take a nice walk in the fresh weather :)

Art can be found anywhere.

Also in natures own creatings, as fx. in wood.

Before it blossoms

Soon everything will blossom, and flowers and trees will look beautiful.
But why not take a moment to enjoy both trees and flowers, before they all blossom..

Birthday cake

This is the most extraordinary and delicious cake, I have made so far.

I got the idea to make it from the thing called "guf", that you can get on top of ice-waffles. "Guf" is just made of egg whites and sugar, so it is very easy to make. So this cake is kind of based on "guf", and I love it.

Therefore I'm sharing the recipe with you now. I hope you will enjoy :)

Ingredients:

4 Egg Whites, 200 grams of sugar, cake bottoms, 500 grams of berries (fx. raspberries).

First you whip together the egg whites with the sugar. Whip it until it is a solid mix.

Then you take some of the egg-mix (approximately 4-5 spoons) and put it in a bowl. Mix this with all the berries.

Put a cake bottom on a plate, and place the berries-mix on it. Place another cake bottom on top of this, so that the berries is between the two cake bottoms.

Then you take the rest of the egg-white mix and put it on top of the cake.

- And then you have the cake.

New York Public Library

One of my favourite places in New York is the New York Public Library.

In the period I lived in the city, I always spent so many lovely hours reading in that library while looking at the beautifull ceiling and the old and historic wooden furnitures.

Sportswear

Sportswear can often have a very basic look and be a bit expensive. However after the new Gina Tricot line of sportswear this is no longer a problem.

They have made colorful and chic tops and shorts, that can be bought for very affordable prices. Perfect for a run in the spring weather.

Birthday

Eventhough you get older, it can still be nice to invite your friends over for a good old fashioned childrens-birthday party. So that was exactly what I did this Sunday. There were cupcakes, cakes, buns and candy bags.
