The sweetest surprise

Sometimes people around you can lift you up and make your day. That was exactly, what happened to me today.

When I came home, a beautiful flower with the sweetest note was placed on my door. It was from my neighbor. How nice it is to have neighbors like that!

Blue pearls

When summer comes, I like to wear big and chunky jewellery as a contrast to the light clothing.

The blue necklace above is perfect for that. It would look good on an outfit with a simple white top and a pair of shorts.

The necklace can be bought at H&M stores.

Vanilla cupcakes

Cupcakes are my absolute favorite cake! They can be made with so many different flavours and toppings, and they are perfect for most occations.

Today I want to share a great recipe for vanilla cupcakes with chocolate icing.

Ingredients :

Dough:

115 grams of butter. 115 grams of sugar. 2 eggs. 115 grams of flour. 1 tea spoon baking powder. 2 table spoons of milk. 1 tea spoon vanilla sugar.

Icing:

Powdered sugar. Cocoa-powder. Water.

Mix butter and sugar. Add the eggs. Slowly add the flour and baking powder and stir.

Add milk and vanilla and stir.

Put the dough in small cake-forms. It should be approximately 1 table spoon in each form.

Bake them in an oven, that is 180 degrees for about 15 minutes, untill you can stick a fork in them, where nothing sticks to the fork.

The icing is made by mixing powdered sugar, cocoa-powder and water, untill you have a mixture, that is enough solid to stay on the cakes.

Make them yourself : BOXES

When redecorating your house it's not necessary to spend a lot of money, on buying new things for storage and decoration. Many things can be made easily by yourself. For example boxes for storage.

Some days ago I found some old shoe boxes, that I thought would be great for storage. I then found spray paintings in gold and silver and spray painted the boxes. It was very easy, and afterwards they are a lot more decorative in your home, than a regular shoe box.

You can also paint flowers on them or decorate with stickers after the spray paint. Only your imagination is the limit :)
